Language Arts

Spelling Words: upon, never, collar, tractor, animal, above, wagon, tomorrow, another, tonight, couple, about

Bonus Words: meadow, instead, breakfast, treasure, feather, weather, measure, healthy

High-Frequency Words: We will be reviewing high frequency words this week. The kids will not be tested on specific ones.

Robust Vocabulary and Student-Friendly Explanations:

journeyed - If you have traveled on a long trip, you have journeyed.
frail - When you feel very weak, you are frail.
horrendous - When you see or hear something horrible or frightening, it is horrendous.
melodious - If you hear musical sounds that are pleasant to listen to, you are hearing something melodious.
stomped - If you stomped, you used your feet to make heavy, pounding steps.
sipped - If you sipped, you took a very small drink of something.
entertain - When you entertain an audience, you do something, such as acting or singing, that you think people will enjoy.
except - When you talk about every thing except one, you mean all but that one.
carefree - A carefree person does not worry about problems.
screeching - If you hear a screeching noise, you hear a loud, high sound that can hurt your ears.
