What a wonderful group of kids we have in this class! I am very impressed by their love for learning as well as one another. We are having a great time getting to know one another as well as our classroom rules and procedures. You have done a wonderful job at home teaching manners, because I have heard a great amount of "manner" words as I call them. Love, love, love!
As we begin our first full week, we are jumping into the swing of things. Today your kids came home with their Homework Binder as well as their spelling words and first homework assignments. You will notice in the binder a pocket for notes to me or the office and a pocket for stuff that stays at home. Your child's homework sheet stays in the clear sheet. On the back you will see your child's spelling words and individual "blue" words. Please note on the homework sheet where to sign off that your child has done their daily reading. I know that their schedules are busy, but please make reading a priority!!! This can be done in the car, before practice, at home, etc. If we make it a priority they will see it as a priority! There is also a Reading Log where your child can keep track of what they are reading.
Spelling and Vocabulary assessments will be on Friday.
