Week of February 19

Happy Tuesday! I know you all enjoyed the four day weekend. The kids came back refreshed and ready to learn. They have absolutely loved doing project work the past couple of weeks.

Project Share:

Please join us tomorrow afternoon at 2:15 for our project share. The students will have their projects set up like a museum within the classroom. They have worked very hard and look forward to sharing with you all of their hard work!

Science:

Our plants have produced their seed pods and have died. This was sad for the children. However, it is exciting for them to see and understand the Plant Life Cycle. The seeds from the pods will go on to make new plants!  After Spring Break, we will be talking about and observing the life cycle of a butterfly!

Math:

Last week we enjoyed reviewing concepts and challenging our brains with math puzzles. This week we will talk about Addition of Three or More Numbers and Comparison of Number Stories. Please, please, please continue to work on addition and subtraction facts with your child!

Writing and Reading Workshop:

We are going to begin talking about and writing an All About Book. This is a great follow up from our project. In Reading Workshop we will finish our unit on Friendships. We will spend some time studying characters through a series of books.
